AI Song Extender

Upload the song you want to make longer and this AI music extender continues it from the end. Say what should come next, or leave that to the AI.

Example

Hear a short song get its next section

Before and after

Hear a short song get its next section

Each original stops after its first chorus. The extended version keeps it up to that point, then carries on with a new verse, another chorus and an ending.

A slow pop-soul song that ends on its first chorus, continued with the second verse and one more chorus.

A '70s-style funk song cut after the first chorus, continued with a second verse, the chorus again and a short outro.

AI Music Extender

Extend Your Song With the Section That Comes Next

Bring a song that stops too soon: a demo, an unfinished idea or a short AI track. The Agent listens to it, writes lyrics for the part that follows, and extends the song from the end with a new verse, chorus, bridge or outro. You get one longer version of the whole song, with your recording kept up to the point where the new section begins.
How it works

How to extend a song with AI

1Step 1

Upload the song that stops too soon

Choose a song between 8 seconds and 7 minutes, up to 25 MB. A demo, a verse and chorus you have finished, or a short AI-generated track all work. Nothing is uploaded until you submit.

2Step 2

Say what should come next

Ask for another verse, a final chorus, a bridge or an outro, paste the lyrics you want sung, or leave the box empty. The Agent listens to your song first, then writes the new lyrics in its language and style and prepares the extension.

3Step 3

Continue the song and listen back

Start the extension from the card in the chat; the card shows its credits before you do. The new section picks up from the end of your recording, and the longer version is saved next to the original so you can compare them.

Extend, don't loop

New music that carries your song forward

Unlike a loop, this AI music extender writes a part your song did not have yet, starting where it ends.

Continues from where your song ends

The extension starts at the end of your recording and carries its sound forward instead of repeating what is already there. Name an earlier time if you want to rework the ending instead.

New lyrics that follow the story

Paste your own lines for the new part, or let the Agent write them from your song's language, theme and section flow. The length of the new section follows the lyrics it sings.

One longer version, kept next to the original

Each run makes one extended version of the whole song. Your upload stays as it was, so you can extend again, remix, master or split stems from either one.
Starting points

Songs that need one more part

Start with the recording you already have and describe the part it is missing.

A demo that ends after the first chorus

Add the second verse and the final chorus you have not written yet, then decide whether the song still needs a bridge.

A short AI track that should be a full song

Many generated clips stop after a minute or so. Upload one and continue it into a version long enough to share as a complete song.

A song without a proper ending

Add an outro, a slow fade or one last big chorus so a track for a video or a live set ends where it should.

Questions

AI Song Extender FAQ

An AI song extender, also called an AI music extender, adds new music to a song you already have. Lacuna continues your recording from the end with a new section, such as a verse, chorus, bridge or outro, and gives you one longer version of the whole song.

No. Extending writes a section that was not in the recording. If you need the same passage repeated to an exact length with a clean join, use Audio Looper instead.

Upload an MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC or another common audio file between 8 seconds and 7 minutes, up to 25 MB. Upload only songs you own or have the right to use; you are asked to confirm this before the file is uploaded.

No. Paste lyrics if you have them. Otherwise the Agent writes them from your song and your request, and you can ask for changes before you start the extension.

Yes. By default it continues from the end. Tell the Agent a time, such as “continue from 1:20”, and everything after that point is replaced by the new section. The start point has to be between 8 seconds and 7 minutes.

It continues from your recording and follows its style, but it is newly generated, so the voice, mix or arrangement can drift from the original. Listen to the join, and extend again from a different point if it does not fit.

The new section is generated with lyrics, so it is sung. Instrumental-only extensions are not available yet. For a longer instrumental bed, Audio Looper can repeat a passage seamlessly.

Choosing a file uses no credits. The Agent message and the extension each use credits, and the card shows the extension's price before you start it. If an extension fails, its credits are returned.

Yes. Signed-in accounts get free credits every month, enough for the Agent message and one extension. Paid plans add more credits when you want to extend more songs.
