Add a requested song that is missing from your catalog, with the chorus harmonies still in place.
Take out the lead singer and leave the harmonies where they are. Upload a song to get a backing track with the original backing vocals and band, ready for you to sing the lead.
Start from the full recording of the song you want to sing. MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A and OGG files go in as they are.
Processing splits the lead vocal from the backing vocals and the band, and returns each layer as its own track.
Play the backing track with the lead already gone and compare it with the original. Download it, or export a mix with your own levels.
Start from the recording you have and keep the arrangement that makes the song recognizable.
Add a requested song that is missing from your catalog, with the chorus harmonies still in place.
Perform solo over a backing track that keeps the harmonies you cannot sing at the same time.
Record your own lead over the original arrangement and its backing vocals.
Practice the lead line against the real harmonies, then solo the original lead to compare phrasing.
Upload the song and start processing. The result opens with the backing track playing: the backing vocals and the band, without the lead singer. Download that track, or use the mixer to build your own version from the separate layers.
A vocal remover takes out every voice, including the harmonies, and leaves only the instruments. A lead vocal remover separates the main singer from the backing vocals, so the harmonies stay in the track. If you want no voices at all, use Karaoke Maker or Vocal Remover.
Yes. The backing track is the song with the lead removed and the original backing vocals kept, which is what a karaoke version with backing vocals needs. Download it as MP3 for a player or karaoke software, or as WAV if you plan to edit it further.
Yes, when the result includes the separate Backing vocals and Instrumental tracks. Mute the Backing track, turn those two on, set the level of each and export the mix. Muting Backing vocals as well leaves a plain instrumental.
The separation follows the most prominent voice. In a duet or a song with a featured artist, both singers are usually treated as lead, while a second voice that only answers or harmonizes tends to stay with the backing vocals. A lead that is double-tracked, or backing singers who sing the melody in unison with the lead, can be split unevenly. Listen through the choruses before you keep the result.
Then there is nothing to keep. The Backing vocals track comes back close to silent and the backing track sounds like a regular instrumental. That is expected for solo recordings and for songs where one singer carries every line.
Upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A or OGG, up to 50 MB and 12 minutes per song. Each returned track downloads as MP3 or WAV, depending on the output format you chose before processing. A mix exported from the mixer is saved as WAV.
The files are yours to keep, but removing the lead vocal from a copyrighted song does not give you rights to the original recording. Performing in public, posting a cover or releasing a track built on it still needs whatever permission that use would normally require.
Upload a song, remove the lead vocal and keep the original harmonies behind your own voice.
