Phone recordings
Lift a talk, a lecture or an interview you recorded on your phone out of the music playing nearby.
The voice isolator pulls the speaking voice out of a phone recording, a voice message or a clip you filmed. Music and background sounds come back as their own tracks, so you can keep just the voice.
A phone recording, a voice message you saved, or a video clip. Audio up to 50 MB, video up to 250 MB, and 12 minutes either way.
Processing splits the sound into three tracks: the speaking voice, the music, and everything else in the background.
Listen to the voice on its own, then download it as MP3 or WAV. If you uploaded a video, you can export it again with the new soundtrack.
Most recordings worth keeping were not made in a quiet room. Get the voice back from the ones you already have.
Lift a talk, a lecture or an interview you recorded on your phone out of the music playing nearby.
Keep a saved voice note or message without the music that was playing behind it.
Hear what people said in a birthday, travel or street clip, without the music and noise around them.
Give a transcription or subtitle tool a voice track with the music taken out.
Upload the recording to the voice isolator and start processing. When the result opens, only the voice track plays; music and background sounds are muted on their own tracks. Download the voice as MP3 or WAV, or turn a little of the background back up and export that mix.
Yes. Upload an MP4, MOV or WebM file up to 250 MB and 12 minutes; its soundtrack is prepared in your browser and processed like an audio file. Right after processing, while the page is still open, you can export the video with the voice-only soundtrack. For a video-first workflow with replacement music, use Remove Background Music from Video.
It is built for speech. Singing is often treated as part of the music, so a singer in a song may end up on the Music track. To take the vocals out of a song, use Vocal Remover instead.
A dialogue isolator separates spoken words from everything else in a soundtrack. Here the result is three tracks: the voice, the music, and other background sounds, each of which you can keep, mute or download.
Background sounds such as traffic, footsteps, a crowd or room sounds go to their own track, away from the voice. Steady hiss or hum from a microphone is a different problem; for that, try Noise Remover.
It works best when the voice is close to the phone and louder than the music. Very loud music, several people talking at once, or a distorted recording can leave traces of music in the voice or cut off quiet words. Listen through the voice track before you use it.
Upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A or OGG up to 50 MB, or MP4, MOV or WebM video up to 250 MB, 12 minutes at most. Each track downloads as MP3 or WAV, depending on the output format you choose before processing; WAV output costs twice the credits of MP3. A mix exported from the mixer is saved as WAV.
Yes. Sign in to upload a recording; processing uses credits, and the cost is shown on the button before you start. Finished tasks stay in your history on this page.
Only use recordings you have the right to edit. Isolating a voice does not change who owns the recording or what the people in it agreed to, so ask before you share or publish what you extract.
